ABOUT THE BLOGGERS
GET TO KNOW US!
WELCOME,
We are undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley. We built this website as a part of a course we are all taking entitled “Critical Studies in Education” under the instruction of Dr. Christyna Serrano. The purpose of this project is to utilize digital tools to address an intersecting social and educational issue. We chose to address the subject of special education by writing a series of blogs, specifically focusing on three topics of issue: racial inequities, implications on mental health, and transitioning to online learning during a pandemic. We hope you enjoy reading our blogs, which are a culmination of extensive research on the topics and our personal opinions based on our knowledge and experiences. For more information on the topic of special education, feel free to visit our “Resources” tab for links to videos, other blogs, and some of our favorite articles. We hope you enjoy looking through our website and that you have an opportunity to widen your knowledge about US special education systems!
